CLASS DESCRIPTIONS and BENEFITS of YOGA
Valerie Dearing's beginning and intermediate level
yoga classes promote the wisdom of living with traditional ancient
poses, breathwork, meditation, and stillness. Her students enjoy greater
spiritual depth and happiness resulting in better sleep, focus, strength,
balance, posture, flexibility, and deep relaxation.
Valerie has trained and is certified in Kundalini
Yoga, Yin Yoga, Iyengar Yoga, and Qi Gong. Additionally, she is a
Reiki Practitioner. Her classes nourish physical, mental, and spiritual
wellness using gentle stretches, twists, breathwork, core strengthening,
and balance practices. These simple movements and meditations can
help enhance the immune system and restore and renew your energy.
The beginning level classes are for those who
are new to yoga or who wish to improve their mind/body health by moving
slowly and mindfully using chairs and props for support. This practice
is low impact and uses seated, reclining, and standing poses.
The intermediate classes are for those with
more experience studying yoga and who are ready for deepening their
strength with a more challenging practice.
